Ischgl has a very good early snow record and an excellent modern lift system. Also Ischgl is arguably the apres ski capital of the alps !!
Top Austrian resort. Ischgl is part of the Silvretta Pass Ski region which includes the lifts of Galtur, Samnaun and Kappl. Altogether there are 310 km (nearly 200 miles) of terrain in the area, linked by a free ski bus. By far the largest area is the cross-border sector above Ischgl over to Samnaun in Switzerland (200 km/125 miles lift-linked).

Ischgl 11th - 14th 2009
Perfect snow, full cover down to village and 220 kms skiable terrain open. Tremendous powder skiing conditions on all 3 days, fresh tracks unlimited !! As usual for pre Xmas skiing there where a few snow snakes around ....some larger than others ;-) Apres ski "Ischgl style" didn't disappoint with some members of the group participating more than others.....The Hotel Elizabeth "Shatzi apres ski bar " and Golden Eagle are now offical Ski Addiction haunts !!
