Ischgl, Austria2009 Season opener.
5th - 8th December 08 Own flight arrangements London Stansted to Friedrichshafen with www.ryanair.com ( flight no FR2003 18.40/21.15 & FR2004 21.40/22.20 Return airport transfer Friedrichshafen - Ischgl - Friedrichshafen 3 nights Pension B&B, Ischgl 3 days ski guiding £275.00 per person based on twin occupancy Ischgl has a very good early snow record and an excellent modern lift system. Also Ischgl is arguably the apres ski capital of the alps !! Top Austrian resort. Ischgl is part of the Silvretta Pass Ski region which includes the lifts of Galtur, Samnaun and Kappl. Altogether there are 310 km (nearly 200 miles) of terrain in the area, linked by a free ski bus. By far the largest area is the cross-border sector above Ischgl over to Samnaun in Switzerland (200 km/125 miles lift-linked). Last year's report Ischgl 6 - 9th Dec 07. Perfect snow, full cover down to village and 220 kms skiable terrain open. Tremendous powder skiing conditions on saturday 8th December, fresh tracks unlimited !! Not surprisingly there where plenty of snow snakes around for this time of the season.......some larger than others ;-) Apres ski "Ischgl style" didn't disappoint with some members of the group participating more than others ( no names mentioned) |
